Early morning sunshine
I hear the alarm ringing inside my head
But I choose not to hear the shrill sound
Reverberating without stop
Till I am forced to shut off the sound
Just a tap on the snooze button
Beginning to sleep again
Supreme bliss
Shuteye
For a few more seconds
Just a little more
The clock rings again and again
This time I stop the ringing
Forever with a bang
A strong tap on the clock
Deciding to take a few more winks
I am harshly awakened by the bright sun
Muddle-headed I jump out of my bed
Hurrying to begin the day
I promise yet again, to myself
To rise, greet the early morning sunshine
When the clock rings
Good morning sunshine!
