Potters Wheel

OctPoWriMo Day - 17

I have written Potters Wheel in the Cascade form of poetry created by Udit Bhatia.

The potter kneads and shapes the clay

Breathing life into many creations

Not minding the heat of the sun

He spins the wheel singing a song

Hands caked and calloused with dust

Every line etched deep with red blood cracks

Not minding the burning stinging pain

The potter kneads and shapes the clay

Beads of sweat fall off his brow

As the potter keeps turning the wheel

Choked with dust he cannot breathe

Breathing life into many creations

Kneading shaping the lump of clay

The potter imagines the final shape

He looked as though he was having fun

Not minding the heat of the sun

The potter works day after day

Imagining creating new shapes

As the wheel of life spins him around

He spins the wheel singing a song
