Breathless

Breathless is a poem in response to a poetry prompt presented in OctPoWriMo 2015 - 31 Poems in 31 Days Challenge - Day 3.

I have attempted to form the shape of a moon with my words. 

Day

   has just begun

        clock ticking away

              time zipping past fast

                  faster than the speed of light

                  trying to catch up every second

                   before the day quickly slips away

                   playing snakes and ladders jumping

                   slip sliding every now and then

                   never stopping to take a breath

              pushing on hoping for the day to end

          as the day comes to an end

        thoughts of tomorrow

   has already begun

for another

day
